Hello to all nurses in Maryland!:)
My name is Emely S. Quiambao and I am an LPN from Bremerton, Washington moving to Indian Head, Maryland in July 2004. I am the kind of person who wants to be ahead of the game.
I am trying to find out what I need to do to work in Maryland as an LPN. I have been working as an LPN in Bremerton, Wahington for the last 4 years. I have Washington LPN certification license.
Can somebody tell me what to do? Thank you. :balloons:

Hey Emely,
Go to the Maryland Board of Nursing website... www.mbon.org You'll have to apply for endorsement licensure as an LPN in order to practice in Maryland. Any info you need should be on the website. Oh, and as a tip, try to get your application in as soon as possible to the board, they are notorious for being a bit slow in processing applications! Hope you have a safe trip out this way to the east coast.. and Welcome to Maryland:rotfl:

Hubby and I just moved to Maryland from Seattle. We're both RNs. I had applied for my license while still living in Washington state, and hadn't recieved it yet; he hadn't even applied. I left the BON with a letter stating I was licensed and that the license would catch up with me eventually. Hubby came home with an LPN license. (We're both RNs.) It took him 5 hours in the BON office to straighten it out!!!!
