Hi All....I'm a stay-at-home mom who is getting ready to return to work. Unfortunately, I have been out of the game for over five years. My original LPN license was in MO, but since then I've moved to Cartersville, GA. Upon talking with the State Nursing Board I was told that I need to take a refreher course before they would issue a license ( I DO need one). The problem is that there are very few places to take the course and in my case there aren't enough people to warrant a class in my area. Any suggestions?? Thanks for any advise.

Hello Stay at home Mom....Well as far as refreser courses there is on in Stone Mountain off of Memorial Drive. The name of the school is World Medical Outreach The class is $300 (a bit costly). Im also looking for someone to study with if possible. I ve been out of school for 3yrs and need to study awhile to take the boards. So If you wanna study just let me know
Thanks for your information. I'm afraid that Stone Mountain is a bit too far for me. It would be over an hour commute one way if there was no traffic (never happens!!!). Good luck to you and good luck with the boards.
Hey stay at home mom,
Did u find anything else as far as refresher courses? Iwas reading other threads in the student selection and came across Slyivia Raifield apparently she has refresher courses for Rn's, but I email her her and asked about Courses for LPN's and she did have 2 classes coming up in Ohio and NC, but she was going to email me back on the availability for classes in Atlanta. The RN course was at Kennesaw University , so I'll keep u posted.
