I am an LPN, from Ohio, with over 15 years expereince, mostly in nursing home (some skilled) and a short time in home care. I would like to get into the utilization review field, as I see these jobs advertised. I am wondering what the pay scale is (if it is even a possiblity to switch jobs financially) and if there are skills I should attempt to obtain prior to applying? any words of wisdom would be appreciated!:)

I am sure you could do it but doubt you would be hired by a hospital.
Oh I am sorry, I should have added for the insurance industry. I see ads for the such as Molinea and Humana..to name a few.
Apply. What do you have to lose?
