anyone take the lpn course at bow valley college

i plan on applying to the lpn course i have a few classes i need to upgrade first

i already have my moa/unit clerk diploma

how hard was it were you able to keep a part time job while going to school full time?

how was your experience at the college?

were you able to find a job once you finished

If you are able to get a BVC Practical Nurse seat treat it like the golden ticket it is. They are currently not taking applications for the next three intakes because applications have been so high there is a huge wait list. Apply now for the May 2018 if you have not already applied then get the prerequisites if you still need a few.

The teaching staff at BVC is excellent for the most part. The admin is 'scatterbrained' and disorganized. There is a HUGE difference between the MOA/Unit Clerk program and the PN but you have a good foundation to work from.

Working part time while a student is possible but your employer must be flexible because the college is not. Clinical times and placements have no flexibility to them. And classes have very little. The study workload waxes and wanes. Sometimes it is crazy and other times you can actually have A BIT of a social life.

Finding a job after you have completed the program can be tricky or easy. The thing is hiring managers ask the college about our class and clinical attendance so do not miss classes PERIOD. If you do not have near perfect attendance the job will go to another candidate.
