Lpn/lvn school. How much does it cost?

Published

Hi there! I plan on going to an lpn school but I don't know how much it cost. (Including books, uniforms, etc). I live in Cypress, TX. Any advice on lpn school would be greatly appreciated :)

I know it can be confusing... in Texas and California, it's "LVN" but in every other state, its "LPN". I encourage you to take a look at Lone Star Cyfair - excellent program with great NCLEX pass rates. They also have a couple of other branches in your area. Houston Community College has a good program. There are some other very strong programs in areas south of Houston, but you probably don't want to drive that far (Alvin, San Jacinto).

DON'T go to a for-profit school. The tuition is much higher and their pass rates are much lower than the community colleges. Actually, if you qualify for a Pell Grant (most students do), it will usually cover most of the cost of your community college costs. Make an appointment to talk to an advisor at a school close to you. That's the first step. You can do this.

Thank u so much! This helps a lot
