Fresh LPN just starting job, advice?

I am a fresh LPN and current ASN student graduating may 2018. Start classes again in september

- took a job at Ltc/rehab facility 22/hr float pool no differentials. Flexibility because I am a student.

-3 years cna experience.

- 163 bed facility split into several different units

- planning to move out of state upon obtaining RN next year.

Did I take on too much? Or will I get good experience? I feel like I won't be able to get everything done on my shift.

Only you can determine if it's too much, I would say continue what you're doing for now and if becomes too much make adjustments as needed. Many people in my nursing class worked 2 jobs and did nursing school. They looked like the walking dead most of the time, but some of them graduated. My friend and classmate had a full-time job, two kids and was going through relationship problems. What you're describing is possible, but it will most likely take sacrifice and hard work. It all comes down to how badly you want to work for it.

I would highly suggest study groups (I was in three separate study groups at one time, always in at least two).

Good luck with your career and your schooling, getting your RN is well worth it.

I actually went to an RN program for 2 years and an lpn program for a year and a half (scammed from ITT tech and kaplan). So going to nursing school for the third time, u know what I mean? So i do better self study. And i moved back in with my parents for the start of nursing school but im planning to get back out next year after RN. So I dont have to pay anything. Will 40+ hrs a week deter me from school? Maybe, thats why i picked float pool.
