Last night I had a CNA tell me she flatly refuses to give a shower to a pt who wanted one. I also caught her with a pt in the air on a Hoyer lift with no assistance from anyone else (totally against company policy) She thought that as an Agency Nurse I couldn't do anything about it. Well, she got 1 verbal warning for insubordnation and 1 written warning for unsafe practice. Stand your ground! Your Licence is on the line, let them know that no matter what happens when your not on shift, they will do thier job correctly and safely when your there.
