i'm thinking super hard about moving to va at the end of november. i'm currently an lpn in arkansas, with 2 years experience at an acute care hospital. i work on a super busy medical/surgical/oncology floor where i assume total care of patients as far as medicines, assessments (a rn is required to only round once every 24hrs at this facility on lpn's group of patients) , iv administration, and even chemo as i am certified for it. i have done random internet job searches for lpn jobs in va and am starting to think i just lucked out being able to work right out of school at a teaching hospital that utilizes lpns the same as rns. i am also pals and acls certified, and working on getting my npr (have some limited experience in nicu).
so...... are there many jobs available outside of the whole ltc/nursing home thing for an lpn there?
any help would be so much greatly appreciated! :heartbeat
