LPN in Hospice/Home Care

I am trying to figure out the best way to use LPNs in Hospice. Has anyone used any models that have worked?

In CT. I don't know if Hospice hires LPN as I've asked a few and they've said RN.....

I like it when LPN's are given the opportunity to do more, it gives me hope that we're still needed. Connecticut has too many restrictions with less opportunity.

That's a bummer. I'm planning on going for my LPN within the next year and then bridging to RN. But, I wanted to work as an LPN in hospice care while I work on my RN. I also live in CT.

I have been in Hospice for 3 years as an LPN I have worked in the office , doing routine visits, and now I am on the travel team, I do Crisis Care, that is when death is eminant. I love hospice, and am good at what I do. I will be completing my RN in 4 months and plan to stay with hospice. BUt LPNs are a valueable resource for hospice that is often untapped. I am in South Carolina.
