Nursing Students School Programs

Hey everyone!

I was recently accepted into Loyola's ABSN program for the on campus (Maywood, IL) spring 2019 cohort! I noticed there wasn't a thread made yet so I decided it be best to start one now haha!

Looking forward to meeting everyone! I'll be coming from California, are there any out-of-staters?

Hi tacotaco19!

Nice to know there's a few out of staters as well! Definitely not looking forward to the move though lol it's so hectic. I visited the campus back in April, beautiful campus if I do say so myself! It's connected to the medical school and across from the Loyola University Medical Center.

Hi all! I am in the process of applying for the Spring 2019 hybrid program, and I was wondering if anyone else had previous issues with not being able to sign in to the application. The site is telling me that my email address or password is invalid. When I try to reset my password it says, "No account exists for this email address and birthdate." I had already filled out quite a bit of the application, so I am worried that all of my information is lost. My advisor has not gotten back to me yet, so I am a little panicky.

Hi!

I will also be attending Loyola's ABSN for the Spring 2019 Cohort (traditional format) and am coming from SC! Very excited to meet everyone :)

By the way there is a Facebook page for all those who are attending the onsite spring 2019 cohort: Log into Facebook | Facebook

Hi Everyone!

My application was just completed for Spring 2019 and I should be hearing back from Loyola in the next week or two regarding admission. Has anyone heard of them waitlisting or being filled up yet for the on-site program? I know in Fall 2018 it filled up really quickly and a ton of people were waitlisted and/or pushed to the Hybrid or Spring programs...

Congrats to those accepted/attending!

Hi @danicole! Good luck on your application, I still believe they are accepting students!

Hey aweiss33, I also applied to the fall 2019 cohort, very anxiously waiting!

First of all, Save your money and go to a different school if you can. This school is not worth your money, nothing special about Loyola, except the name. The faculties only care about the NCLEX pass rate. They don't care about their students at all," we treat the human spirit" ********, they really don't care about you except your money. The faculties are fake, no student support at all, no resources, and once you're in the program, there's other fees you have to pay for that they didn't tell you upfront. It really is a waste of money, I WISH I HAD NOT GONE TO THIS SCHOOL AT ALL. There are better nursing schools out there, trust me. Find a school that is a right fit for you and that's worth your money. The faculty is rude, discriminating against people of color, and when you report it to the director or Dean of the school, they will take the faculty side, they don't support the students at all!!! You will have professors that are terrible at their jobs, can't answer questions when their supposed to be a"master" in the field. This program is a weed out program from the beginning to the end. When I was accepted into the program, I had to have "B" letter grades. They have lowered the standards for upcoming cohort because they are in so much debt, they will accept "C" letter grades but once you're in the program, their grading scale is much higher than regular school. A "C" from regular school vs. Loyola is an F here, so look into that because its not fair for students who think "C" are ok and they will not succeed in the program. Everything about the program is a LIE, they may look good on paper and websites but this program is VERY UNORGANIZED, Loyola has been around for many years and they still can't get their **** together. Their worried about politics, buildings, and who has the highest accomplishments that their NCLEX statistics are going down.

If you want to read more reviews about the program, here's a website. I wish I had found this out before attending this school.

@kkn94 I think you're speaking out of anger. This is the first I've ever heard anything negative about the school or it's program. Everyone I've spoken to at the program currently speaks very highly of it. Not sure where you're getting this information from?

Hi!

I'll be part of the hybrid cohort starting Spring 19, anyone have any input for housing or know anyone looking for a roommate? I'm from MA and open to anything (the cheaper the better). Thanks!

Hello!

I recently got accepted into the Fall 2019 hybrid cohort. Is anyone in the hybrid program currently? Would you be able to give a review of your experience so far?
