Lower GPA any chance at getting I'm?

Published

Ok so here's the deal I have a bachelors degree in psychology with a graduating GPA of 3.3. I have applied to 5 nursing programs ranging from ABSN, ADN and BSN.....I will also be getting my CNA as some of the colleges require it to even apply. My question is has anyone gotten into nursing school with a lower ranging GPA and if so where and how? Thanks for any responses!!

It depends on how competitive the programs are, what the criteria is for each program, and how well you did in the pre-requisites (which I think is the most important). I didn't have the best Pre-req GPA and I had a 3.4 cumulative but made up for it with high TEAS test scores, work experience etc. and got into a BSN program. As long as you didn't do terrible in your pre-requisite classes I'm sure you'll be fine.
