Lower Columbia College LPN2RN online

Published

Hi! I'm looking to connect with former and current students of LCC's LPN2RN online program. I just got accepted and am anxiously awaiting orientation day. If there's anyone that lives in Skagit/Island county and have gone through the program (or will be), I'd love to talk with you! :)

There were no clinicals in Portland this year, and usually are not from what I hear. They do normally have PHSW in Vancouver though which is very close to Portland. I worked throughout the summer clinicals and on campus portion. I had an urgent care job on evenings and weekends so the only time I had to take off was the one week of my preceptorship. You will be off by 4pm all days and always off Fridays, except preceptorships, that's when you have to be flexible and work your preceptors hours, whatever they are.

That's good to hear about the Bellingham clinical site. I live on Whisbey Island so that's a much more doable drive than the Longview option. By the way, congratulations on getting your RN!

Thank you! I love Whidbey Island! It's beautiful up there. :)

Hello there! I just applied for the LPN2RN elearning. I'd like to know how's you experience with this program so far? Was it difficult to get in?

Hi I just received my acceptance letter for fall 2016 LPN2RN elearning program. I'm currently a full time working mom. I'm considering reducing my hours but wanted to hear from graduates of the program about how challenging it was. Can you shed some light on your experience? I would greatly appreciate it.

Jessicatashay - Congratulations!

I also received my acceptance letter to the LPN2RN eLearning program yesterday. I am currently working .75 (five 12s in 2 weeks), and have also been considering the possibility of reducing my hours to .6 if necessary.

I look forward to meeting you september 19th.

Hi everyone! I just got accepted also! A previous coworker just finished up and she worked full time during the online portion, so I'm hoping it will be ok!

Congratulations on getting in!

Thank you for your input. I'm so excited to start! See you at orientation.

Congratulations as well!

Looks like working full time is doable for some people. So I'll give it a try.

looking forward to meeting you at orientation:)

I got my acceptance letter in the mail! I know a couple nurses that graduated from this program and had to work full time until clinicals, I plan on working as well. Looking forward to meeting you all!

For those of you accepted in 2016, would you mind sharing your prereq grades and teas score? With all of the new changes and the crazy increase of applicants in the last two quarters, Im curious to see what it took to get in.
