low hesi score but good GPA

Published

Hi, I wanted to know if anyone has been accepted into tcc "tidewater community college" nursing program with a good GPA but a low hesi score like a 70% I was running out of time and had to put anything rather than leaving them blank. My GPA is a 3.7 someone please get back to me and let me know. I need reassurance.

Is this for Tallahassee Community College?

No, this is for tidewater community college.

Ah! Sorry, there are a lot of TCCs out there. I can't speak for the requirements of your TCC, but for ours you need at 75% on each subtest for entry into program. Did you use any particular study guide? Which section gave you the most trouble?

I had to rush towards the end especially on the chemistry and a &p part I didn't even read the questions I put anything because the man said once the time run out if you're not done it's a 0. I'm sure I could've done much better but the fact that I had to rush towards the end messed me up. Hopefully my GPA make up for the rest.

Gotcha. I looked at your schools website about the HESI and nowhere did a see a minimum requirement for test scores. So take a deep breath. Your GPA should give them a good idea about your intelligence and work ethic. Good luck!

Thank you so much I really appreciate it.

FutureRN0625,

Definitely still apply!! There is no minimum HESI score requirement and your GPA is awesome! We don't know what the applicant pool is going to be like, so take the chance! Best of luck! :D

Thank you so much. Are you applying? If so, if you don't mind me asking what was your hesi score and GPA?

You're welcome! Yes, I applied for the spring start! I have a 3.5 prerequisite GPA and an 88% Hesi score, but I still have to take PHI 226 in the fall.
