I wanted to add this question I'm not sure how many people are in the same boat, but i am wondering what are the options/schools that accept students with low GPA's?..I have completed all my pre-requistes and unfortunately my GPA is only a 2.7. I'm 22 years old and tired of wasting time. I really messed up my freshman year and did not understand how important GPA was until it was too late. Please any suggestion would help
I messed up my freshman year many years ago when I didn't really take school too seriously and enjoyed the college life a little too much. Now that I have graduated with a bachelor's in psych and want to go back to nursing school, those grades were killing me. I petitioned (begged is a better word) to retake the required courses at the community college I am applying for NS at and they granted me the second chance. Just ask, what is the worst they can say "no"? Then, you can possibly look into a different school where you can try again. That's what I'm doing and I'm looking at all A's so far.
You can do it!

BC requires that english can only be taken over at a private institution. But all the other classes that i retook at another public institution they accepted. I have an A in english so i did not have to retake that class, b/c i only retook the science classes i had C's in to improve my GPA.
Broward College only accepts the GPA for the application process for:
English
A&P1
Lab
A&P2
Lab
Chemistry
then, they go by a point system
