low GPA..trying to be hopeful

Published

I wanted to add this question I'm not sure how many people are in the same boat, but i am wondering what are the options/schools that accept students with low GPA's?..I have completed all my pre-requistes and unfortunately my GPA is only a 2.7. I'm 22 years old and tired of wasting time. I really messed up my freshman year and did not understand how important GPA was until it was too late. Please any suggestion would help :banghead:

BC requires that english can only be taken over at a private institution. But all the other classes that i retook at another public institution they accepted. I have an A in english so i did not have to retake that class, b/c i only retook the science classes i had C's in to improve my GPA.

Broward College only accepts the GPA for the application process for:

English

A&P1

Lab

A&P2

Lab

Chemistry

then, they go by a point system

I messed up my freshman year many years ago when I didn't really take school too seriously and enjoyed the college life a little too much. Now that I have graduated with a bachelor's in psych and want to go back to nursing school, those grades were killing me. I petitioned (begged is a better word) to retake the required courses at the community college I am applying for NS at and they granted me the second chance. Just ask, what is the worst they can say "no"? Then, you can possibly look into a different school where you can try again. That's what I'm doing and I'm looking at all A's so far.

You can do it!
