From what I know, 76 for a C is pretty common. Even in my CNA class (pre-req for LPN school), anything below 75 is failing. I think they would look at your total GPA for admission.
I don't know how competitive nursing schools are in your area, so I don't know what shot you have at getting into another program.
I think sticking it out and finishing is the best option. At most you have 2 years and then you're done.
Most nursing school programs are two years or less if you go ft, so I personally would not want to start over after having put in two years. How close are you to finishng? In your shoes my priority would be graduating so I could get my RN and go on with my life. You say your concern is expense at your present school, but if you transfer to a cheaper school at this point I don't think you save any money. Just my two and a half cents.

Hello, everyone. I just wanted to know if someone could answer a few questions for me. Well, let me give you a brief background. I am currently a nursing student since 9/06 (between internships and lack of communication among advisors). I TOTALLY picked the wrong school to attend. So, I am looking to transfer to another nursing school. PROBLEM: I have a GPA of a 2.2 at my current nursing school. But, I attended a college for all my pre-reqs, which is an average of 3.2. Do I have a chance in getting into an another nursing school? My current nursing school sucks. It's too expensive, C average is a 76 (which is a little steep!), teachers are not great, and so forth. I'm just looking for a new beginning at a new nursing school. I started to quit altogether but I tried to hard to get into nursing school. Does ANYONE have any advice? What should I do? Do I have any chances at all?
My GPA at my other college is a 3.2 (pre-reqs). Current school 2.2. Which one will they look at for admission?
