Hi there!

Keep taking pre-reqs and build up your gpa. I got accepted to an accelerated BSN with a gpa of 3.0 (barely). Most schools will only look at your gpa from this point forward based on your pre-req grades. So, do your best and hang in there! It will be worth it...:)

Good luck!

I recall that Hunter was rather selective and competitive (being a CUNY school). You need to find out exactly what GPA they will even consider (I believe its a 3.0 or better). Try the CUNY website for info.

i had bad experiences with all CUNY schools mainly LAGCC. My GPA is 3.6 and i didnt get in the program. They definitely want you to take pre-reqs as they call it with at least a 3.0 but in the end they wouldnt accept you for some stupid reason. I heard BMCC is the same. Each CUNY schools has its own set of 4 key courses to take, and a private institution got NONE. I suggest, do your essay well, and ace your entrance exam. Im in a private nursing school now, much more expensive, but my dear, its definitely worth the money. :)

I had a horrbile experience with pre-req's in Hunter! Which private program are you attending? I was thinking about Beth Israel...

Im currently at Long Island College Hospital School of Nursing. Its the same curriculum as Beth Israel.

Ok! That's closer to my home than Beth israel! How do you like it? And as I asked in another one of my post elsewhere on this board---dis you give up your job/career to attend this program? Is it an evening or daytime program?
