I did apply for LVN-RN Fall 2021 with 60 total points. I will most likely get in to phase 1 again just like Fall 2020. I was waitlisted for Fall 2020 due to only 6 was accepted and my TEAS was not strong enough. If I get to Phase 1, I will be giving up my spot due to recent acceptance to 2 other school I applied to. Best of luck
Los Medanos was the only school I applied last year. I did apply at Samuel Merritt University and University of San Francisco early this year and got accepted on both early this month. I would apply anywhere in the bay area if you have a good stat.
When I applied at Los Medanos for Fall 2020. I received verification email around March. I received phase 1 letter around June, took my TEAS around July and found out phase 2 waitlist/acceptance a week after that. It was a long process. There were about 80-120 LVN applicants last year. They accepted 25 students for phase 1 to submit or take TEAS test to move forward to phase 2 then phase 2 determine your acceptance.
My Phase 1 Stats: Science GPA: 4.0 , General GPA: 4.0
My Phase 2 Stats: TEAS score 77%
Samuel Merritt does not offer LVN- RN program but their BSN program is only 4 semester so technically the same amount of semester if I were to go to Los Medanos then complete a BSN at Eastbay. I think it is more beneficial at least it is a direct BSN than doing two different application for both LVN-RN then RN-BSN. You should consider applying while waiting for Los Medanos. The next application deadline is July 1, 2021 for Spring 2022. :))
Hey! Who else got the letter from LMC today saying they are selected to continue? They mentioned a zoom meeting planned on May 12th. I wonder if we still have to take the TEAS? I’m little confused regarding the TEAS exam and why it doesn’t say to take it or submit TEAS results yet. I’m wondering if I should still be studying for the TEAS exam.
