Los Angeles Valley College Nursing Fall 2017

Published

Anyone applying to Los Angeles Valley College Nursing program for Fall 2017??? Lets keep eachother updated (:

i am sorry abt ur experience. I understand, i kinda have some doubts but at the end of the day all i care about is my license :) I will have to ignore the other issues with them .

girl1984, sorry for the late response I'm just seeing your message. The workshops have been nice but I'm really enjoying the open skills lab because we get to work on stuff "hands on".

Yes I finished all of the physical stuff just a bout I'm waiting on one more test my Dr didn't test me for chickenpox the first go round so I have an app on Mon to see if I need a booster for that.

How about with you how is everything going?

Yes I am doing well. Is everyone who got accepted taking summer session or roughly how many of u guys are taking it?

girl1984, every time I have went it seems to vary I would say I've meet at least 10 1st semester students. So I would say not that many people signed up for the summer class unless they just go on different days

Ok thanks doll. I m nervous excited for new chapter in life to begin. 2 years fly by fast. R u gonna work full time or part time. I am still thinking.

I dont think you can work full time. Look at the class schedule. Some days you have class in the mornings, other afternoons and 12hours clinical. I think you can do part time but only night or week end. When I went to the lattc information session the lady said that if you want to graduate you should not work at all. That all the students who drop do it cuz they work and can't do both as the program is very intense.

I don't have class schedule right now so that's why

Most people quit their job and find part time jobs on the week end. Maybe you should try and see if you can do part time if not quit working. I know we all have bills to pay but don't jeopardize your chances to graduate. You can always get a student loan to help you. Nursing is tough: (

Go on the Lavc class schedule and look at nursing. The schedule is there. I think they don't have the clinical yet and said tba but is 12hours shift

Girl1984, Yes me too....I actually am just going to be going to school no work I already gave my notice... I have heard that those that don't work are more successful... I have been to several schools informational session and that is what I have always heard...

If like me you did not get in and tired of waiting lol (one more semester before i start nursing school yeah!), santa monica college offers an online pharmacology class and harbor and east college offers drugs and dosage calculations and also pharmacology. I think it ll be a good idea to take those classes while waiting!

I went to orientation. Supper excited and neervous seems like it's intense but everyone is different. I really liked instructors and everything is pretty organized.
