I recently applied to the VA hospital of Greater Los Angeles for a new grad position. I was curious if anyone else had also applied or received an offer?

I'm RN looking for a Nursing preceptor to clear my RNnlicense. if you are willing to be my preceptor or know of any preceptor who would limber happy to take a registered nurse under his/ her wing. Please feel free to respond to this post and I provide further information.

Hello... I actually interviewed in April for their new grad program (TTP Program), received a tentative offer in May, and I am now in the early phases of the onboarding process.

Have you interviewed?

If anyone else reads this and is currently going through the hiring process at the VA in LA, give a shout out here. The VA moves slowly, and it would be cool to get some input from others in the same boat.

Congrats! Good to hear someone else is in the same situation... I did hear from HR about a week ago, signed a few documents online, but haven't heard back since then. Things just seem to move at a snail's pace over there.

Congratulations to you also! I've only completed the documents that were sent with the tentative offer and am still waiting to hear from HR to move forward or complete more documents. Have you heard anything about a estimated start date?

I've asked HR about a start date but haven't heard a definitive answer. I know a few people who currently work at the VA, and they said it will likely be in August, based on the length of the hiring process.

Thank you for the info! I know the process can be slow so I'm hoping I hear from HR this week and hopefully we all start in August! If I find out any information, I'll be sure to update.

Hello,

I have also received a tentative offer for the new grad program! I completed the online forms, but I have not heard anything since. I was told once the paperwork is completed, expect a phone call to schedule a physical and fingerprinting.
