Hi guys, 

just wanted to start this forum for the Spring 2024 application period so that we can keep each other updated.

im currently in the Alternative list btw.

Hey Njay, I went to Southwest and asked the people in the Nursing Office to find out my number. They told me it was 15 but a person in this thread was also an alternative and hers was 19 got accepted but I don't get how I'm 15 and wasn't chosen. So I have to go over there this week to ask cause I'm confused atp..?

Iamdazzyy, thank you for replying. Hey that's good news tho. You're probably going to get a call soon to let you know you've been selected. It's a good thing you know which number you are. I've been calling for 3 days they do not answer the phones smh. So I might have to go up there in person to talk to someone. Hopefully we all get accepted (fingers crossed)

Congrats to those who got accepted. To those who are on an alternate list, don't lose hope. I had classmates before who were not on the alternate list but were called to join our cohort. Note: Bootcamp is helpful, especially for the first 8-week 501A. They will thoroughly discuss the Nursing Process, vital signs, head-to-toe assessment, etc., which will not cover much during regular sessions since there are many topics to cover each week, and there is a weekly exam of either 60 or 50 items. I highly suggest getting the highest score in your first three exams, but of course, pass all exams so you will not feel stressed near the end of the class. Exams are not hard but tricky. Good luck!

I just happen to saw your post last year for being accepted in the Nursing program by LA Southwest and Cypress.. I have the same thing happen to me now. I got accepted for both school too. So just want to ask which did you end up choosing and how was it?

Hi, yes I got an acceptance letter 2 days ago but I declined it cause I got into a different school
