Los Angeles Harbor College (LAHC) ADN Spring 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone!

I am making this forum because I don't see there is a forum already been made yet. Please feel free to comment on anything related to the application process so we can all stay updated. Good luck to everyone applying! (;

I have a question. For the application for Spring 2022, are we supposed to put in the score before and after TEAS by ourselves, or do we leave it blank for them? I'm done with the application and was about to print it, but I don't want my application to be deemed ineligible

I have a 4.0 in my science classes, a 3.7 overall GPA, Healthcare experience in the ER and have a 75.3 on my TEAS. I feel like the TEAS score is gonna mess me up but we'll see.

Yes I did. But now im not so sure ahaha I only did it because it gave me the option to do it. I think if it didn't give you the option then it would be for them to do it. Does that make sense?

Yeah, makes sense, I guess I'll fill it in then. Thank you and good luck!

Wow that’s great score! Right now the only other schools I apply to were Cerritos and Long Beach.

when did you apply to Cerritos?? Cause I'm also applying to Cerritos but they're taking new apps in Jan.

That's really great, I have 4.0 science, 3.8 overall, no experience in hospital. Doing volunteer work, but haven't made 200 hours yet, and 64 in TEAS... I'm really scared, I hope I could get in by some luck.

Don’t be scare those are really good stats! I’m scare because my science GPA is 4.0 and I heard that matters.

Yes sorry that’s what I meant! Those are the only three schools I am aiming for ?

Hey I have a quick question for anyone who attended the information session. Do we have to have a physical copy of our high school transcripts or is an electronic one okay? Thank in advance!

That's perfect, don't be scared, you'd do great since you have a strong start

"Due to limited services of college and university admissions offices, if you are unable to provide an official transcript from your school, you may submit an unofficial transcript with your Nursing Application. The Nursing Department will not accept electronic transcripts. You are still required to submit official transcripts to Admission & Records (physical or electronic accepted). Be prepared to provide official transcripts upon admission into the nursing program."

Hi everyone, I have a question about the transcript. Does this paragraph mean that we are allowed to mail LAHC an unofficial transcript for application, then mail or email them an official transcript after we get accepted by the RN program? Not sure if I understand correctly. Any help is appreciated.

They want both. One sent to admissions electronically and one sent hard copy with your application.

No they said they want you to send Admissions an official copy electronically AND include a hard copy official transcript with your application. The only reason you can send them an unofficial copy is if you took all your classes at an LACCD college.
