yes, it was a while back but I replied to the LACC nursing email and the nursing counselor is the one who responded. It's the same counselor that is there now. He's the one who does the information sessions. I never got into LACC but I was an alternative twice. I did get into another program back in 2020  but I was dismissed. It was during the Covid shutdowns so it was a mess. I'm just trying to get back into a program now.

If you received an alternate admission, and just got an email for the orientation, does this mean you got the slot? On the notice it said "if space allows, you'll be prompted to attend Mandatory New Student Orientation".

Did everyone on the alternate list receive the orientation email?

Hi Julia,

I'm on the alternate list too and I also received a notice to attend the first orientation. I hope it means we're accepted, but I'm not quite sure.

I'm confused because they said "if space allows,” but at the same time they said they would inform us if we get to change status from alternate to admitted:(

im conditionally accepted and also received that email. today was the last day to reserve your spot  "no later than 12:00 pm on May 30th, 2025.” so I think they might be going through who confirmed and who'd didn't RN so they could move ppl from the alternate list. a friend of mine was put on an alternate list in the past and she was told everyone on the list has to attend orientation since it's very likely possible that a few students will get moved into the program. she mentioned that it took abt two days after the confirmation period closed so keep an eye out!

No Unfortunately, 

But we will find out the day of the orientation.  There could  be a chance  that we get moved to the admission status.  But we  won't  know until  all the orientation are done since some students may decide to go to other schools  an free up a spot. 

I'm number #25 on the LACC list and at LASC number  #18.

Thank you for this information!! Is the confirmation period today or do you mean two days after the third orientation date? I'm  trying to determine around when I might be notified if I get moved to the accepted list.

of course!! today at 12pm was the last day to accept your spot if u were accepted. I believe it was two days after the confirmation period but don't quote me on that bc things could have changed as it was abt 2 years ago
