Loosing hope

I have not long moved to Miami with my husband who is military, I have a U.K. Nursing license but not yet a Florida license, which I'm working towards. I've just spent 5yrs nursing in the Middle East managerial positions. Now I have been applying for work here still in the clinical area that does not require a license at the moment. I would say I have applied for around 40 positions and have heard back from maybe around 6 I've been unsuccessful, one of the positions was for an OR technician which I have many years experience and still nothing. I'm starting to loose hope. Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be much appreciated.

    Have you considered volunteering at a hospital. Choose one of the larger ones that you would be interesting in working at when an opportunity arises and contact the volunteer department. Being know to the hospital and staff may help with a job later.
