Looking for RN job after graduation

I was wondering how soon I should start looking for jobs for after I graduate in May. I most likely will not be taking the NCLEX until June. Can I still apply even though I have not taken/passed the NCLEX yet?

This question has been asked a bazillion times on here and the answer is that it will be different everywhere. A friend of mine was hired at a major prestigious university hospital before she even graduated but in my area you have to be a fully licensed nurse before they will even LOOK at your application. So, I would check with hospitals, your instructors, etc.

Start looking as soon as possible there are many new grad positions who will accept you before you pass NCLEX. However they are very competitive and sometimes have lengthy applications.
