Looking for nursing scholarships?

Greeting,
I have just been excepted into a Bachelor nursing program in Portland, Oregon as a Junior and will be starting in two weeks. I am starting to put together a packet of scholarship information. I have some scholarships I will apply to, but would like more. Does anyone out there have scholarhips they recommend, or internet sites that they have had success with in terms of scholarship searches. Looking to expand my knowledge and help pay for a program that cost 18,000 a year with no grant money because I already have a B.A.

I would visit http://www.nsna.org and join! On the link there is a link titled foundation and it gives you more info on their scholarships. Click on FNSNA and go under information sheet. This August, there will be an application. I joined NSNA right before entering nursing school and applied for their scholarship. They gave me $ towards tuition and books. I think it's up to $2500, every little bit adds up. It was relatively cheap to join. One of my classmates didn't join and applied for the scholarship and didn't get it, so I don't know if they do preference for members only. Check all your local hospitals too - most offer some type of scholarship and you can find some that aren't contigent on you working there. Also, my school was a huge source for scholarships, so check with your faculty and financial aid office. There were local organizations that sponsored scholarships that I only knew about through my school. Hope that helps! Good luck!
