Looking for Nurse Reference Pocket Guide!

Published

I can't find my favorite educational resource anywhere!! A few years ago I received pocket cards on a chain in one of my nursing education classes. I know the cards were from BD, and that there are 7 cards on a chain. Some of the cards contained information on order of draw for multiple tube collections, best sites for venipuncture, etc. I feel lost without them!! Does anyone know where I can purchase new sets of these cards?!?!

Hi kdh1984,

I recently purchased these cards from BD. You can find them at their Education Center. These cards have been around for a long time and BD keeps updating them. You'll be glad you bought a new set. They come in packs, but I shared them with my colleagues and looked like a hero! I'll attach the link.

Blood Collection Education Program - Pocket Cards Set (Bundles of 5)

Thank you so much for your response! The link you included was a huge help. I purchased these cards a few weeks ago, and again, they are so helpful in guiding me through all the proper techniques. My fellow students are always asking to borrow them, so it looks like I will have to place a new order soon. Oh, and a plus--this website offers these cards at a discount if you order in bulk. Looks like my friends and I will all pitch in together for some sets! Thanks again Susanville7!
