I know that this is a long shot but thought I would try it. I am an older returning student who will be entering an ADN RN program in the fall. I have zero clinical experience and would love to learn, grow and glean wisdom from an RN (perhaps retired or one who has free time) that would like to help a new RN student succeed.
I am bright, eager and full of questions. Is there anyone out there who would be interested in serving as my mentor? Thanks in advance and I will be praying that someone from the Port Huron area might read this and respond.

Hi,
I'm an rn in the Port Huron area. If you are still looking for a mentor maybe I can help. I was in my 40s when I obtained my associates degree in nursing and currently work in an ICU. Let me know how I can help.
UpstairsCare,
Thank you for replying! I would very much like to have a mentor that I could learn from and it is great that you went through the ADN program in your 40's. I am excited about the opportunity to have an experienced RN that I could learn from. Could you tell me what might be the best way for you to offer your help? I live outside PH but come in approximately 3 times each week. I would like to give you more details but not on a public forum. If you could let me know what the best way is to privately reach you (email, phone, text, etc) I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance! :)
