I am looking into several LPN school options.. most are not accredited.. some are. As far as going from LPN to RN (bridging) afterwards; will LPN accreditation make a difference? I know it does going from ADRN to BSN.. I don't know if it's helpful to know at all, I also already have a Bachelor of Arts. It makes the most sense for my family to do the LPN, get a job and bridge to RN while working. Any advice or help you can give would be amazing! The non-accredited LPN schools are much cheaper but I don't know what the difference will be when trying to get into an RN program. Thank you!!!!

I attended a non-accredited LPN program and was able to complete my ASN degree, earn RN licensure, and later complete a BSN program.
Contrary to popular beliefs, accreditation is not as big of a deal for LPN programs as it is for RN programs. For instance, California is home to 200+ LPN/LVN programs and not a single one is accredited.
Good luck to you.
Thank you for your response! I want to make sure all my bases are covered... Military spouse and will have to go to a random school next that will for sure be unassociated with the LPN program. Do you mind me asking which school you went to for your RN bridge?
I'm also concerned about my license being able to transfer from state to state easily.. will accreditation matter in that respect?
Whoa! I didn't know that! Thank you!!
