Looking for LPN school in Colorado

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

I am looking for a LPN program in Colorado. I heard Emily Griffith has a great program but I want to later move into RN program. I also checked in Regis What do you think?

I got my "official" acceptance letter today. Still hoping to locate some of my classmates!

I am taking the HESI-entrance exam next week. They told me if I pass & send in my application, I can start in the April '09 program. So... I consider myself "almost" in, lol!

Hey there i will hopefully start in July 09, right now I have just filled out my app and thats it. What are the next steps I should take? ideas?

Have you signed up to take the Entrance Exam?

not yet, should I do that before or after the interview? I was thinking about taking a tour of the building first....

I had my interview, then took the hesi, and enrolled all on the same day!

congrats! i'm applying for the fall 09 start date. i think i have one class to take to finish my pre-req's but we'll see! good luck!

Regarding the prereqs, I just need to take A and P 1in April and A and P 2 in July then start NS October 09 in DSON. I was wondering about the difference in difficulty between taking these classes in DSON or Community college of Denver. Does anyone know or have an idea? I know it'll be cheaper with CCD...

I'm in the same boat as you. Trying to start in October, taking A&P 1 this semester, then A&P 2 over the summer at Front Range.

I don't think you can take prereqs at DSN, I think you have to have those done before you apply. The school's not all that big, so I don't think they have room for the labs and all that.

Good luck! Maybe I'll see you in October.

depending on which track you're going for depends on if you have to have all the pre-req's done by the time you apply. I'm applying for oct ADN and they told me that they aren't even accepting applications/HESI tests until april 09 but i'm going to have one class to complete this summer and they said that was ok as long as it ends before nursing school would begin. i'm flying out there for a long weekend in april for the test and everything.

i'm assuming that for the other tracks you may have to have them all done? their admissions office seems really helpful...which is a change from here in NC!

good luck!

Actually, I went to the school and talked with someone for a Q n A session. They DO have the general prereqs. A and P 1 and 2 as well. I was too late to take AP1 this month so I'll have to take it in April. It'll be more expensive than a community college but it'll be shorter (11 wks) I'll try to take the entrance exam soon. Yes, hope to see you in October!
