Hey guys. I am needing some assistance here. I moved to Kansas in the last year, have my LPN license here, but I also still have my compact license in Texas until May 2019. I am desperately trying to find an online LPN/RN program I can enroll in to get this done!! Furthermore, my sciences are over 7 years old, I don't have the time, or money, to spend on more classes, other than what I actually need, in order to achieve this goal. Does anyone know of any programs that would allow me to 'test out' of these sciences? (I found one, Hutchison here in Kansas), and what experience have any of you had with these issues? I honestly don't trust excelsior, seeing as how one minute a state accepts their degrees, and the next they don't. Too shady for me there! I don't care at this point what state it would license me in, as long as I'm able to get it!! I can always endorse it in another state. I believe Indiana State University may have an online LPN/RN, but not real sure. Any advice on these matters would be oh so appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

LPN to RN online would be very rare if it exists, at all. I've never heard of testing out of sciences, either. If you find something that fits what's you're looking for, do be wary ...very wary. And you should defiantly care about "state specific" issues if you plan on moving around. Applications by endorsement get turned down all the time due to educational deficiencies.
Actually, there are many out there, just not online, and they are found in almost every state. As for the differences in state requirements, yes there are differences, but not too many to make having a license in several states unattainable. I know many nurses that have done licensing by endorsement in several states, and travel to each to work. But thank you for your advice and opinion.

Read again. I made it easier this time. If you know what states you want to work in and aren't doing anything "non-standard" for school, go forth with confidence. I happen to work in a state that denies a lot of people who manage to get licensed in alternate states. It's usually because they're foreign graduates or did something unusual right here in the USA.
Snark returned. You're welcome.
Wow....and I wasn't even being rude. But I did notice you have something to say on every post, and nearly never positive. I suppose every site needs a troll. Good day.

Try Indiana State University LPN-BSN. I am in the program now, I have 2 classes left and it is completely do-able. Everything is online and clinicals are local. Depending on which state you are in, you may have a hard time setting them up.
Thanks! I have sent for information on their program and am currently waiting for them to send it to me. í ½í¸

Hello,
Do you have to follow their degree plan? Are you able to register for additional course each semester? How do you like the program? Any and every advice and tip would be greatly appreciated.
