Looking to Interview a Nurse Leader in CT

Hello all,

I am a senior-year nursing student located in Connecticut. As part of a class on leadership and management, we've been asked to interview a nurse leader in our state with whom we have no previous association with, in order to learn about their methods and leadership style.

Are there any leaders in the nursing profession currently living in Connecticut who would be interested in participating in this interview? Ideally, I'd like to do the interview sometime before April 1st, in order to allow myself enough time to write the paper.

I would be so grateful to anyone willing to take the time to help me with this project.

Thank you for your consideration!

Sincerely,

Sue

P.S. I hope that I am posting this to the correct forum - my apologies if not!

The phone book/equivalent had contact info for every hospital and nursing-related organization in the Nutmeg State. Call the state nurses association, AONE (American Org of Nurse Executives), or the head of the city public health nursing service. Let your imagination fly free!

Specializes in M/S, LTC, Corrections, PDN & drug rehab.

We get these requests often. The problem with this is you cannot verify the authenticity of the person you are interviewing. How do you know the person you are talking to is a nurse or lives in CT? We try to be as anonymous as possible on this forum because the nursing world is smaller than you think.

Your instructor did not give you this assignment for you to "interview" a nurse online. It is for you to develop your communication skills with other nurses, in person. Which you will be having to do a lot of.

Since your paper is not due until 4/1, you have plenty of time to go to a hospital, jail, doctor's office, school or anywhere else there are nurses to interview one.
