Hi! I have been a RN for almost 7 years...I have my associates degree. I started out on a step down neuro unit (about 4 years) then took about 8 months off (I had twins) when I went back I did telemetry for about a year and a half. I have not been working again for about 7 months (I have been staying at home with my children, my husband and I have 6 all together).....I absolutely dread going back to the 12 hour shifts!!! Days are not good because we have too many childcare issues and nights are not much better of an option! I'm looking for suggestions.....I would love a first shift (7-3) but those ate so rare! I have considered going back to school for my masters in nursing education but that's not an option for a few more years. I have also considered becoming a certified diabetes educator but that seems to have lots of issues also. If anyone has been in my situation or has any thoughts for me please respond! Thank you so much!!!
