looking into Chamberlain college of Nursing in Addison Il

Published

I have applied to the Addison campus and am now waiting for a response from them for the Spring 2010 semester.

I had a couple questions i was confused about...

1. I have taken most of the pre reqs at a different school a couple years back...i am thinking of taking anatomy over again because i took that one 6 years ago and i dont really remember that much, but how does the class schedule work? does someone who hasnt taken any pre reqs graduate in the same amount of time as i do?

2. Where has anyone gotten student loans lately? it seems to me that alot of banks arent really willing to give student loans out and I dont know how i will pay for schooling

3. How long is the semesters? How long are classes everyday?? i need to try and find a job that i can have that i would be able to have that could work around my school schedule

Lastly, if someone has completed a semester at chamberlain I'd like to know how you like it and what to expect:sniff:

thanks!

From my understanding if you do not have any transfer credits the program is designed specifically to meet the 3 year time line for that purpose (no transfer credits). If you do have transfer credits, your time line is shorter where you graduate in less than 3 years.

I recv.'d a subsidized and unsubsidized loan. 9000 for freshman and for 61-90+ credit hours you received 12,500 per YEAR. I am able to take only 2 classes for the semester which is broken down into session A and session B. Each session is 8 weeks.

There are three classes (I believe) that are 16 weeks (a semester). For example, the class is taught in session A and session B. My student loan paid for everything with a refund. I'm taking the refund and taking a few courses at the CC to save money and time.

I do not know how long the nursing classes are because I am taking prereq's which are online. It depends on the credit hours and the course.

Well, that's all I know for now. I wanted to answer your post because so many have helped me on this site and I noticed your question was unanswered. Best wishes and much success with Nursing school.
