I was wondering exactly what it takes to get into nursing school. I have started my prerequisits and still have about three more left. I just feel like I will not get in. There are so many applicants, how do I make my application stick out. Should I wait until I have completed all of my prerequisits before I apply? Thanks for any and all advice.

APPLY NOW!!! do not wait until after you have your pre reqs done. I thot that I had applied to Nursing school, only to find ou that I hadn't. By the time I got registered, I had a D at MIDTERM in algebra, and was NOT allowed to register for the Fall Semester. I had to wait until final grades were posted and then found out there was a waiting list to get in. Long story short: GO TOMORROW AND REGISTER!!
Let us know how it goes!
Good luck!!

Find out what your school bases admissions on - GPA, test scores, entrance exam, job shadowing, experience in the field, personal interview, etc.
Then, go after those things with gusto and do your absolute best. Talk to an advisor at your school, they'd be able to give you the most pertinent information related to your situation, I'm sure.
Good luck!

If you only have three more months in prereqs, I would definitely agree that you should apply now. Talk to the schools you are interested in & get all the details. My school had a February application deadline and only takes new students for the Fall semester.
I would ask what they are looking for in new students and center my application on those things. For example, my school is big on people going to grad school, this worked out good for me since I am going to be a nurse-midwife. So obviously in the application question about goals, I was big on that. I also highlighted things I've done that demonstrate my committment to helping others, leadership abilities, the health field, etc. (like volunteer work, being an officer of a organization, etc.)
Best wishes!
Thanks for your advice. I am going to put my application in today. I found out that the school goes by your GPA. Right now I have a 3.4 so I think I may have a pretty good chance. :)
