Looking for advice on LVN program from CCI in Garden Grove

Published

I've been looking into all the schools in my area (long beach, ca). I've come across CCI (California Career Institute) in Garden Grove and they're accredited, private offering evening classes for $19,500. Their pass rate is 75% for last year and 40% for this year with only 5 people have taken the test. I guess my question is this...should that be a concern? I really can't afford the other schools which are running $29,000-$35,000. I plan to continue on for RN and don't want to have a huge bill at the end. I'd love to go to a community college for the RN program, but none of them offer evening classes, which I have to have since I work in the day.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jen

Hi Jenifer419!

I've also been thinking about attending that school and have the same concerns you have. I'd like to think the person's study habits are a major part of being able to pass the NCLEX but I'm sure the school has to teach you right as well. Please let me know if you are now enrolled and how you like it if you chose that school.

I decided not to go to CCI. They didn't offer financial aid and i don't think they're accredited...i could be wrong though. I just can't remember exactly. I decided to go to Pacific College in Costa Mesa and now in my second term. The cost is higher, but they're accredited and provide financial aid and i qualified for grants which brought the actual cost down closer to the cost of CCI.

Good luck to you!
