Looking for advice on good hospitals to work at in Philadelphia!

Published

Hello All!

My name is Sarah! I am looking for advice on hospitals to apply to in Philadelphia! I was born and raised in the area, and have extensive experience as a patient with Philly Hospitals. I am looking at things like magnet status (like UPEN (HUP)), a good reputation, a good culture, and a good working environment (I.E; Hospitals that strive to maintain a lower nurse to patient ratio, and support their nurses). I just hit my year of experience at a smaller (265 bed) suburban hospital on a med/surge, Telly, observation unit. I also just received my BSN. I am BLS certified, as well as ACLS certified. I am not necessarily a new grad nurse, though I am not sure what the above do for my chances of getting hired at a place like HUP. I am looking for a place I can call home, where I actually enjoy (or don't hate) going to work, and really flourish as a nurse. Any advice and reviews based on personal experiences would be appreciated! I look forward to hearing from everyone!
