Hi there! I'm in the process of choosing between two 15 month ABSN programs. The first one is here in Nashville where I've lived for the past 7 years and where most of my friends are. The other is back home outside of Philadelphia. Both programs are equivalent in pricing, but if I were to attend the school back home, I would save $10,000 off the top simply by not paying rent and utilities.
All this being said, I'm wondering how often I'll be able to see friends during an ABSN program? What was your experience like in an accelerated program? Do you think being around a support system during the program is important or not a big deal? It makes me nervous going back home where I won't have that mental support system of my absolute best friends, but the money it would save me could be really helpful. Any advice/thoughts? Thank you ?

You will not have a lot of recreational time, and you will make friends in your program who will be in the same boat and understand why you can’t go out to play this weekend because you have a big physiology final on Monday. You will have your study group and pizza or cheese steaks, LOL.
How many opportunities to save TEN GRAND do you think life will present you?
