Lookin' for a job in Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area

Published

Hi,

This is my first post so forgive my indiscreations.

My name is John and I have been a Nurse for 12 yrs. + 5 yrs. MILITARY. I will be moving soon to the area and I am looking for the best place to work. I have been a TELEMETRY Nurse for 12 yrs. and love the PCU(progressive care unit) setting, but have floated and/or worked most Critical Care settings. I am BLS & ACLS current until 2006. I am the shift preceptor, mentor, un-official educator, and all around "go to" guy. I am a charge nurse when needed. I want to work at a hospital that will give me the freedom to take care of my patients and not have to put up with to much of the politics. I may be interested in a TEAM LEADER/EDUCATOR position. I bring an ATTITUDE to the floor and will not tolerate gross incompetence or negligence(this is life and death not "sewing on buttons", you screw up someone dies). I work hard but my family will always come first. I enjoy "old school" blue collar blood and guts nursing and will work overtime at least once a 2 week pay period. Can anyone suggest a hospital in the Raleigh/Fuquay-Varina area? I am looking for pay rates, sign on bonus, moving bonus and shift diff. Thanks in advance for the "heads up" and I hope we can work togeather soon.---------------John

Wake Medical Center, Rex Hospital and Raleigh Community are the major hospitals in the Raleigh area. UNC Chapel Hill and Duke both have hospitals nearby. There is also an LTC hospital in Fuquay Varina that is part of the Wake Med Group
