how long to get approval to sit for boards?

They have to receive your application plus your transcripts sent from your school. You mailed it on the 23rd, but do you know when they received it and for sure that they did? Do you know when your completed set of transcripts were actually sent, and that they received them?

I do not know of any cut-off date, they need to have complete file on you before they will permit you to sit for the exam. The NCLEX exam is just the final step in the licensing process, not the first. When they notify you that you can sit for the exam, it means that you have met all requirements for licensure, except for the NCLEX exam.

Thank you, Suzanne. Yes, I know the BON recieved my application as I sent it delivery confirmation. I also received a postcard from the BON that they received it.

I guess my question is this: I signed up with Pearson online, and was wondering if I will receive notice (ATT)from the FL. Bon, or directly from Pearson?

You will receive a letter from the state that says that you meet all requirements excet for taking the NCLEX exam. The actual ATT will be sent by Pearson-Vue, once they receive the okay from the FL BON.

I got my ATT from Pearson (via email) about 1.5 weeks after I got that postcard.. I got the letter from the BON a couple of days later.. Then I got the yellow ATT from pearson in snail mail about a week later.. I know it seems to take forever.. I actually called the BON during my wait because I am so anxious.. The said my application was accepted and they were waiting on my background check.. They were really nice and truly that was not terribly helpful but it did decrease my anxiety.. I take my nclex tomorrow.. wish me luck!
