Lonestar 2015 fall hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone! Has anyone applied for the fall yet? I'm studying for my HESI and will be applying soon!

I've been looking for other students accepted into Cy-Fair Fall 2015 ADN Program. Is there a Facebook page for us? If not, we should get one started so we could stay connected and share helpful information.

Hi! I've been scrolling through here looking for some other Tomball people (I guess they're pretty scarce lol). Do we have a Facebook page?

can you please tell me about this TOEFL. i already finished my prerequisites for ADN. i graduated from non speaking English country. will i have to take this test. what happen if you fail the test. do i have to pass it before turn in my application? thanks

Yes, unfortunately you do have to take it but not before application. Once you are accepted, they will give you a time frame for all what you have to do extra. My advice study for the test from now; I did not know that beforehand and did not study for it until the last minute. Good luck.

Hi everyone,

Long time no see. I have been busy with all the readings they give us to do!!! How is everybody else? My classmates are great (every single one of them) yay!!! For people who do not know me, I am a first semester student. School is stressful but great at the same time. We have the best professors (thank god) otherwise we would have suffered dearly. We are in our 2d week now, and we have learned so much new info already!!!! That is all the news I have for now. Good luck to all of you and believe in yourself. hugs

thanks for your info rajtray. Can i take Toefl before application? How many time you can take it? Is it hard to pass. Did you pass in the first try? thanks rajtray

I think you can take it before applying, but just to make sure ask the nursing department, I personally did not take it until I knew I was accepted since it is expensive. I paid I think 190 or 195 for it!! You can take it more than once as long as they are 2 or 3 weeks apart; you can double check once you want to take it by calling the number offered at the TOEFL's site. They would give you all the info you need. It is not a walk in.

It was not hard for me, but it was just long and stressful since every part was timed. The worst, I would think, was speaking where they give a subject and you only about 20 seconds to talk about it. Get a TOEFL book, practice, and you will do fine. For Lone Star College system, they asked you to get 83 or higher out of 120.

I am glad I could be of help. Have a great day.

Oh! yeah and I passed it in the first try. Sorry I am tired and forgot to answer that question.

is the reading harder than hesi reading? what scores did you get i already passed the hesi. Now i am stressed out again.
