I am not sure about the LVN to RN transition, but I do know for the ADN programs the admission is quite competitive. I have a friend who finally got accepted (ADN) after three attempts. She had 11.8 points. The transition program might be a little less competitive b/c I don't know if they have as many applicants. My understanding is that it is just picking up the second year along with the ADN students. I hope you get in. Good luck!! I know waiting it is the hardest part!!!
I also applied for that same program in 2009, my overall gpa is just a lil over 11 and i'm still supperrrr nervous bc who knows whats going to happen, i've been an lvn for almost a yr working at tomball hospital and i'm ready to get my rn , hopefully i'll be joining you guys this summer :) somewhere in the lonestar system, i'm currently taking pharmacology and the nursing advisor told me thats ok as long as i finish the course prior to rn program starting, DOES ANYBODY ELSE KNOW HOW TOUGH IT IS TO GET IN TO THE LVN/RN TRANSITION PROGRAM ? if so due tell :)
Hello everyone.
I am trying to apply for Spring 2010 for the LVN program and was wondering what is the cutoff for the program? I took the HESI on Wednesday (8-5-09) and applied yesterday, Thursday (8-6-09). My current score is 7.4196 out of 8 points. Should I be worried if I'm going to make it for the Spring or not? Any advice would be appreciated.

Am 100% sure you will be accepted to the program. Just turn in your application on time. Wish you best of luck!!

I've just applied for the LVN transition to RN program for the Summer 2009 at Lonestar Community College. My points is 10.444 out of a possible 12. Is this enough points to get accepted???? What is the lowest point accepted that anyone know of. I would like to know if there is a possibility that I will or will not get in. Thanks!
