Hi y'all ??

Are you interested in/planning on applying to Lone Star's RN/ADN 2024 Fall program? Then this thread is for you! ?

I've been to the LVN program at the Montgomery campus but failed out the program after a few semesters but I'm back and ready to try again! So yeah I'm somewhat familiar with the application process. However, I still have so many questions on the application process and what to expect from the RN program now that I'm starting nursing school again after a few years.

I know many of you are concerned about what scores you need to get in and whether you'll get into your campus of choice. My top pick is the Montgomery campus. What about you?

I'm not sure what my application score is yet since I have to retake my HESI (it's been 2 years) but I've got an A in both English and AP II.

Come join the chat if you're interested! Looking forward to hearing from y'all.

Hello! I actually just submitted my application. My first choice is the cy-fair campus :))) I took my HESI A2 for the first time 02/29 this year and luckily I got a 92.8% and an 880 on my critical thinking section. Honestly I just took my A&P II for the second time and finally got that blessed A. So now it's A for both Eng and bio part.

I am rooting for you!! I hope your HESI exam goes well and that you're score is high! I know lone star is very competitive so I'm hoping we both get in !

I just took my HESI. I still have to do some stuff before submitting my application, but my choice of campus is as follows:

  1. Montgomery
  2. Tomball
  3. North Harris
  4. Cyfair

Good luck.

Hello! I submitted my application in January, so now I'm just anxiously waiting. My score is a 7.7. First choice is Montgomery and second choice is CyFair.

Sending y'all good vibes!

Hi! I applied to the ADN program about a month ago, has anyone heard back yet? I was trying to see what the typical wait time is, but I am not finding an answer.

Thanks!

Sarah

Hey! It won't be until the end of April early May.

@sarah5493 we won't hear anything until after the application deadline. So we still have a while to go 🙂

Last year they sent out the acceptance letters for people who got accepted at their first choice on April 21st.

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't realize someone had finally responded!

@kikisplan

Good job on the critical thinking section!

With both A's those classes and a 92.8% on the HESI, your score should come out to 7.712. My score is sitting at 7.6. I think you have a very good chance of getting accepted.

@Snow Fox

I agree. Acceptance letters should be coming out by early May, I believe.

HESI deadline is April 5th and the nursing application is due April 12th.

Good luck!!

@megg0530

I hope you have a good chance of getting into your top choices. I saw on some older posts that scores above a 7.6 had the highest chances of getting in. I'm not sure how competitive it will be this year post COVID.

I wish you all the best of luck.

Just took my HESI, waiting for it to show up on my application. I am at a whopping 7.6 according to the rubric sheet. and would like to attend Cy-Fair or North Harris

Hey All! Just sent my application on the 8th and got a 7.74 overall. 93% HESI with 890 critical thinking and As in ENGL and AP. Cy-Fair is my first choice. I'm so nervous because I hear how competitive it is and I just wanna get in the first time! Good luck everyone!

Hey Everyone!

                        I submitted my application on January 10, 2024. Took the HESI on January 9, 2024 and scored 92% and 970 in critical thinking. I made an A in ENGL 1301 and AP 1 and AP 2.

My score is 7.68 points.

My first choice is North Harris as it is only 10 minutes from where I live and beside the hospital I work.

Application deadline is this coming Friday, April 12, 2024.

Possible decision letter will be 1-2 weeks from this coming Friday.

Good luck to us all! 🙂
