Loma Linda Pediatric Residency August 2015 LLUCH New Grad

Hi Everyone,

I am starting this thread for all the new grads or first time RN job hunters out there who applied to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital Pediatric Residency for August 2015. The application was open for 2 days during April. Has anyone had any updates? applications being forwarded to managers? interviews?

Which unit did you apply to? Where did you go to nursing school or do your preceptorship? Have you taken NCLEX yet?

Nothing yet. I applied to NICU. Spoke with HR and they said applications were just being reviewed and this was Monday. I was told to "rest assure." Good luck to all of us. I have not taken my NCLEX yet. I take it this month. My school did not offer a preceptorship. I work in an adult hospital as a nursing assistant and also work in childcare for a private family practice.

Facebook posts show that PICU applicants have received emails. One applicant posted this today, "LLUCH PICU "meet and greet" emails sent out!"

I don't have Facebook but I received an email that my application was forwarded to the manager. I applied for NICU...I know that NICU received over 300 applications...and LLU will filter out any applicants who live far

I received the same email :) Have you heard from anyone in management or received a call for an interview? I heard the same. I know that the NICU received a large amount of applications and that management still had to filter through 300 after HR! :/

I talked to someone there are 5 spots open and they have 12 people in mind to interview in a few weeks but interviews have not gone out yet. If you precepted there in NICU or are a current employee as a PCA or US you will most likely have an interview

That's some good information. I do not work there nor did I do my preceptorship there. I spoke to someone that made it seem like a call would be coming but I guess I will find out when the call comes. Do you work there or have you done a preceptorship there? This is all great information you have :)

I am currently finishing up my up my precetorship in the NICU at LLU. Interview calls went out yesterday, good luck!
