Loma Linda & New grad programs in Cali

U.S.A. California

Published

I'm a new grad from Hawaii and thinking about moving to Cali near Visalia... I'm a single mom so I really need to have as much set up as I can before I would actually move. I'm doing some research on where I should apply. How competitive is it to get a new grad job there? How far is Loma Linda from Visalia. Any suggestions on where I should apply? Any help would be appreciated!!!

There are a few major hospitals in Visalia. Check out Emanual Medical Center & KDHCD. You may even want to look into bakersfield, its about 45 minutes south of Vislia. Even though these areas are more rural, the jobs are still competative. I would make sure you have a job secured, not just an interview, before you make the move. I am not sure how far Loma Linda is from Vislia, but I know it is over an hour. Good Luck

LOL, Visalia and Loma Linda are about 4 hours apart. There is no way you could commute to Loma Linda. Google maps would have told you that. :)

I would definitely line up a job prior to moving here, tough economy. Although there is probably some work near Visalia. Visalia is fairly rural and will probably culture shock you from Hawaii though. It's dusty, it's flat, and it's hot.
