But if you don't stay the whole 3 years, you don't earn everything in one of your retirement accounts right? That's what one of my friend is saying.

Yea your friend is correct. You still are contributing to your 401k but only after 3 years is the full 100% vested from what LLU contributes (6%).

My timeline was this:

I had my interview on a Thursday around the end of May. That next Monday I received an verbal offer. About 2-3 weeks later (2nd week of June) I received an email from my onboarding specialist with information about onboarding.

I was given a date in which I must have ACLS and BLS certifications by and an important thing to note is that they DO NOT accept RQI courses (those are the ones where you do the didactic portion online and you go in and do the skills - compressions/breaths on the dummy). I made the mistake of doing this but luckily my CPR center was able to work with me to transfer those certificates to the ones required from LLU. They also must be issued by American Heart Association.. can't be from Red Cross or another organization.

For the Physicals and drug test: you will be getting a call from your onboarding specialist and they will ask you what dates you prefer. Keep in mind that they must be done at LLU's Occupational Health building (I.e. you can't get your TB test done at a CVS or PCP office). Also, since you will be doing a 2 step TB reading, you need to go to the office 2x (I.e. Monday & Wednesday, Tuesday & Thursday, etc.). They're not open on weekends so you can't have your first appt on Thursday.

On that 2nd day, after you get your TB test read, you will then have an inperson group meeting with your onboarding specialist with other people in your cohort where you get your picture taken and your badge.

To answer your question about when you could do these appointments, it really depends on when you receive your written offer. I did mine about a month after I signed my offer letter but I know a few people in my cohort didn't do it til 2-3 weeks prior to the start date of the program.

Hope that helps! 🙂

Great information. Thank you for this. I'm applying this round and was wondering if you remember the video screening questions 😢
