hi, i'm from MA now, i plan to take NCLEX-RN March of 2009, one of the requirement to take NCLEX-RN for foreighn schooled is the RN license from that country. Am i still eligible to take the NCLEX-RN if i apply Dec. 2008 and my license expires January 2009? This is my 2nd time to take the exam. Thank you for reading and if you reply.

Are you applying to the same BON that you applied for initially? (notice you have taken before)
i mean i am licensed in the Philippines, and i took NCLEX once and failed.
But which BON are you taking the NCLEX with? Is it the initial board of nursing in the US you applied to or are you applying to a new board of nursing?
thank u for your patience sorry i am not complete in my info. i will write here now
i processed my eligibility to take the nclex rn here in massachusetts when i was in the philippines and i travel here in u.s. march 2007 via fiancee visa, i am married now and permanent residence here in u.s. i took 1st time nclex rn exam in boston dec. 2007 with my married name. now my eligibility expired and my philippine rn license will expire jan. 2009. my question is: if i apply to re-take nclex rn here in boston do i need to renew my philippine license? thank you so much i really apreciate it, you help us a lot, thank you for reading and replying to me. God bless you.

Because you are going to have to restart the application for RN process from the beginning due to your first application expiring then if the BON requires your local license to be active then you will need to renew it. If unsure on license having to be active I would suggest you contact them to find out
