Local PRN Travel Nursing in Chicago

Hi I am an RN working out of Rockford, Illinois area and am interested in local Travel Nursing in the Chicago area.I am making about 25.00/hr in the Rockford area as a staff RN. I have contacted several companies with PRN work. I am mainly interested in Favorite Nursing, they have a lot more local PRN work/contracts as compared to the other companies. I know the market for Travel Nurses is low and they are not making as much as previous. Does anyone know about how much a PRN/travel nurse might make or expect to make working out of Chicago, traveling about an hour to an hour and a half away from my home. Thanks for any feedback, this is my first post.

The agencies are not telling you what they will pay you? That's strange.

Travel nursing in general is not low, but there is a lot more per diem in Chicago than travel. That is just the culture there. I would do per diem since you are so close and if you have mutual love with a hospital, see if they will put you on the schedule so your shifts are solid.
