All,
I'm looking to get my sister the Littmann Master Cardiology stethoscope, but have a few concerns about it. (1) She will be graduating from nursing school in May of this year and has a job secured on a pediatric cardiology floor (I could be off a little, but I know it has to with peds and cardiology). So I'm looking for the best stethoscope that will help her in that area. I've done a little research and found a general consensus that the Littmann Mater Cardiology stethoscope is really good. My question is, will this stethoscope work well with a peds cardiology floor? And my second question.. (2) I've been hearing that it has a pediatric attachment. Where would be a good place to get that from?

Hello! Congratulations to your sister on her upcoming graduation. A new 3M™ Littmann® Stethoscope will make the perfect gift! The 3M™ Littmann® Master Cardiology™ Stethoscope does have outstanding acoustics. However, in the case of your sister who will be primarily treating pediatric patients, we would recommend our new 3M™ Littmann® Cardiology IV™ Stethoscope. The Cardiology IV stethoscope delivers outstanding acoustic performance, diagnostic versatility, and convenience for treating adult and pediatric patients. The pediatric side of the chestpiece converts to a traditional open bell by removing the tunable diaphragm and replacing it with the included non-chill bell sleeve. Thank you!
