Littman Stethoscope

hello,

I am looking to upgrade my stethoscope now that I have graduated. I am looking into the Littman Classic III and had a few questions. The website description says the bell can be a traditional open bell or closed bell by adding the removable diaphragm. If I put on the removable diaphragm will that side still be considered a bell to hear low freq sounds? or will it now act as a pediatric side diaphragm?
