Yes, the cardiology III meets the requirement. It is a little more high-end than the other stethoscopes, but I love mine to death. I don't think you necessarily need an ultra-expensive stethoscope, but you will have no problem hearing clearly with the cardiology III. My only complaint is that it's a bit heavy when wearing it around your neck, but a small price to pay IMO.
I just bought the GRX cd27 which is "based on" the cardiology III. I bought it off of ebay for like 30 with shipping. I can hear really well with it and even brought it to my kids pediatrician for her to test it out and she really liked it alot. She said it was better than the ones her nurses use.
I had heard really good things about it and so I figured alls I had to lose was 30 and then I could still buy the Cardiology III if I wanted to. I have enough to worry about with nursing school to have to know where my steth is at all times so that sticky fingers dont walk with it....

I also just bought the above mentioned stethoscope and received it today. It works well on me and my family. I work tomorrow and I'll see if it works well on all of my patients.
I bought the Cardiology III as it was the best of the best a few years ago. I regret it now because it seems everytime I need to use it the bell has switched sides. There are times when a patient is on their side, and can only tolerate it for a few seconds but while changing linens you need to take a quick listen...those dang double sided headpieces. I now use the Master Cardiology...great sound and always on the right side(it only has 1) and ready to use.

Hello...
I just received my nursing packet, and like many others I need to have a stethoscope with the bell and the diaphragm both attached to the endpiece. Does the cardio III meet that requirement? Upon reading the webiste description, it sounds like it does...but maybe you have to keep modifying it or adjusting it from one to the other?
I did try out the classic SE and found I could hear better with the ultrascope but we can't have those at school...I didn't try the III b/c I thought maybe that was over the top for school, but since I have constant ringing in my ears...I want to be able to hear clearly.
TIA
